Initially conceived as a backdoor pilot, Gustin received a positive reception during his two appearances as Barry on Arrow, and officials chose to develop a full-fledged pilot to utilize a larger budget and bring out Barry's world in greater detail. Arrow clothing designer Colleen Atwood was brought in to design a flash suit.
America premieres the Flash in North America on October 27, where the Ar Series, which became the second most-watched premiere in CW history after Vampire Diaries on Pilot 23, has made the characters their own on the show, Kingdom of Legends, which premiered January 21, 2016. On April 2, 2018, CWT renewed the series for the fifth season, which premieres October 9, 2018. January 31, 2019, the series renewed for the sixth season, which is set to premiere on October 8, 2019.
One season, after witnessing the supernatural murder of his mother, Barry takes Allen to Detective Joe West and his family. Barry becomes a brilliant but socially awkward crime investigator for the Central City Police Department. A particle is defective in the skin, bathes the city center with a radiation during lightning, and Barry is electrified.
In the second season, after a solo episode, Flash is recognized as a Central City hero. However, the phenomenon brings a new threat from a parallel world: Zoom, a demonic speedster who tries to eradicate all momentum in multiple ways. Harrison is nicknamed "Harry", the equivalent of the Universe parallel to Wales, and his daughter, Jesse Barry, works to stop Zoom and help him explore the Multiverse.
In season three, changing his past, Barry created the alternate timeline "Flashpoint". Although he was able to recover the timeline somewhat, it posed a new threat against Barry, with the rise of ud-speeder Sabiter.
In the fourth season, after Barry leaves, Wally and Cisco have barely been able to defend Central City. When a new enemy easily defeats them, requesting a fight against the Flash, the team decides to bring Barry back. As they handle it, they reveal the dark matter of Barry's return, turning a dozen people into a metahuman on a city bus.
In season five, Nora claims that he has come to spend time with her in the future. However, the team quickly discovered that Nora's presence had not only changed the timeline, but also revealed a new threat in the form of Citada, a serial killer tied to killing Metahumans.
