Azzurri won the preliminary match against the United States (1-3) and won by Finland (2-0), Liechtenstein (-0-5) and Greece (1-3) before winning the match. They already have two names from all sides, such as Niccolo Barella, Lorenzo Insigne, Mays Cain, Fabio Quagliorella and Marco Verratti.

In their last meeting in Yerevan, Italy won Armenia 3-1, which is another reason for Roberto Mancini's temptation to persuade us.
